Weekday dawn patrols, all-day couloir missions and deep days lapping the trees - the Black Diamond Traverse ski pole is our classic, all-aluminum touring pole for any day of backcountry skiing. With a durable all-aluminum construction, FlickLock adjustability and a redesigned grip for improved ergonomics, the Traverse holds up to season after season of abuse. My first set of trekking poles. I used it during snowshoeing. It's a good pair for the price.

Excellent poles for indoor snowshoeing. Adjustment is easy even with gloves on and the lock does not slip. There is plenty of adjustment room for heavy-duty hangs as well as for powder. In our household, we both have the same poles (155 cm long), although the lengths are 166 and 180 and it still works for both.

Works well as long as you don’t press the pole down in the snow to hard if you do it slips. (If you balance, leaning on one pole). I tend not to use the handle so much when trekking not sure why. Usually hold a bit lower or having the hand completely on top of the pole. It’s easy to adjust and use. Broke a pole that got stuck in a branch nothing that’s not expected

You have to press the plastic carrots really hard to get them to stick to the sticks. There is no clear mention of this in the instructions, which is a shortcoming in the product. After the "installation" is done, the rods work well for their intended purpose, plus the stepless length adjustment.
