A lightweight low cut shoe in fine Yak leather. The StraightFit Extra last gives it extra room at the forefoot to provide additional comfort. The ideal companion for mountain hikes in lower ranges.
Yak leather footwear is particularly robust and comfortable. Thanks to their unique and distinctive grain structure, each shoe is one of a kind – this also applies to the Travi Low SF Extra. Hanwag only uses yak leather from herds raised using sustainable livestock management in Mongolia. The raw material is then processed by the Josef Heinen leather tannery in Germany. The leather used to make these models conforms with the rigorous ‘Gold Standard’ standards of the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder group responsible for the environmental and sustainable certification for leather production. The advantage of this exclusive material is that not only is the Travi Low SF Extra exceptionally good at retaining its form, it’s also particularly comfortable. The naturally breathable performance of leather creates a pleasant internal foot climate that allows moisture to escape and for your feet to ‘breathe’. And as the leather lining adapts to the contours of the foot, the fit just gets better over time. This model has a StraightFit Extra Last and adapted sole unit that gives extra room at the forefoot to provide additional comfort The Hanwag Endurance Hike outsole with 10% recycled rubber provides good grip and traction.

— Show originalFast delivery. I chose the shoes according to the size chart on Hanwag's website, and the shoes fit perfectly with a little extra room for the toes. My normal size is 47, but I chose these in size 48 guided by the size chart. In short, very stylish and comfortable shoes that really fit wide feet well.| Overall rating |

Hanwag Travi Low is sewn with the company's "Extra" wide shoe last, and fits my wide Scandinavian feet perfectly. With room in width and height for the forefoot and toes, without reducing the grip on the heel. Its "grippy" but moderate sole with adequate support/flexibility for both easier terrain and flat land is quite ideal for a low traversing shoe. The yak leather seems robust and looks nice, and the soft gloveleather lining of this model is fantastic. Much better feeling and cooler than textile lining! Off to the Alps! (funny to note, the medium high bootversion of Hanwag Travi seems to be sewn on their "normal" last - but there are boots sewn on the "extra" last in their program, along with leather lining - my next purchase for shure)

Nice and cosy, but a little on the heavy side. Also size big : i had to pick up 10 (44,5) instead of my usual 10,5 (45 1/3) by salomon for instance).
