By installing the Bar, the carabiner is oriented to load along the major axis, ensuring optimal safety during belaying or glacier travel. Additionally, it enhances comfort and security by preventing accidental unlocking of the gate when closed.

  • Bar prevents closure if carabiner gate isn't fully locked
  • Ensures carabiner gate remains locked when Bar is in closed position
