The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 combines a thermal camera and digital light amplification. You can choose which channel you watch or whether you watch thermal imaging and light amplification at the same time. The design of the Pulsar Merger Duo NX50 thermal binoculars is familiar from traditional daytime binoculars. They don't take up much space, and fit well in the hand, and in addition to being usable, they also look good. The device's six function buttons are placed on top of the device, from which they are easy to use, and the most used digital functions are within your reach with one press.

The optics of the Merger Duo thermal binoculars take into account the nature of human vision. The human brain is conditioned to receive visual information from two channels at the same time. That's why looking with two eyes tires them less than looking with one eye. In this way, Merger also has monocular, technically similar devices, it is easier to distinguish small and dim objects, especially in low-contrast conditions. The distance between the eyepieces of the Merger Duo DXP50 can be adjusted between 62 and 74 mm, to best suit each user.

Whether it's rain, blizzard, fog or early morning after a cold night, Merger's highly sensitive 640x480 pixel thermal imaging sensor (NETD <25 mK) detects even the smallest temperature differences even in conditions with low thermal contrast. The thermal image sensor's high resolution of 640 x 480 pixels ensures that all objects in the field of view are shown in as much detail as possible. The high resolution of the camera makes even the smallest objects, such as branches, leaves and animal body parts, appear exceptionally sharp and clear against the background.

The quality of the optics is of great importance to the performance of thermal binoculars, so that the image quality remains good even at the lowest levels of thermal radiation. This extreme efficiency is achieved with the help of the Merger Duo's fast lens (F50/1.0) and super sensitive thermal sensor. Pulsar Merger offers its users the best quality, i.e. a precise, high-contrast and informative image every time - even in rain and fog, when the thermal contrast of the monitored environment is at its lowest.

A new approach has been implemented in the Pulsar Merger Duo DXP50 thermal binoculars: for different purposes and viewing objects, the best possible settings have been made for them, so that both the objects and their backgrounds stand out the best. Merger Duo's eyepieces guarantee perfect reproduction of details, which is important, e.g. in counting the horns. The thermal image always remains clear regardless of changing weather and temperature conditions.

The Merger Duo DXP50 is powered by two rechargeable batteries: it has one internal, 4 Ah rechargeable battery and also comes with a replaceable 3.2 Ah battery. One charge guarantees up to 7.5 hours of battery life. The design of the replaceable battery makes it easier to put the battery in place, so replacing an empty battery with a charged one is done in record time and in the pitch dark by hand.

The powerful, high-resolution objective lens together with the ultra-sensitive 640 x 480 pixel (@17 µm pixel pitch) thermal image sensor produces an exceptional observation capability. A standard 1.8-meter target stands out even from a distance of 1,800 meters in pitch darkness.

Up to 8 x digital zoom makes it easier to focus and identify the target at longer distances. The zoom level changes either gradually in 2x steps or steplessly, so the user's field of vision is completely customizable to suit the situation at hand.

Merger Duo's internal Wi-Fi module works wirelessly with Android and iOS smartphones and tablets using the free Stream Vision 2 app. This opens up a whole host of completely new possibilities, such as video streaming to the Internet, wireless firmware updates, content sharing on social media, remote control and free access to read Pulsar's own news feed. In addition to this, users who register the application get 16 GB of free cloud storage, where they can store material recorded on their device.

Whether it's heavy rain, a snowstorm or other wet conditions, the IPX7 waterproof rating guarantees that the device won't fail even in the wettest weather! The device is designed to function flawlessly even after being immersed in a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.

The Pulsar Merger Duo DXP50 is made for continuous and often violent use. It has a strong and durable magnesium alloy frame that is still light. The frame effectively protects the internal components of the device, especially its most important part – the thermal image sensor – from shocks, drops, moisture, heat and cold. The metal frame also acts as a cooling element, which removes waste heat generated in the internal parts of the device (especially in the thermal imager), reduces noise and also keeps the thermal imager stable even after longer use.

By connecting your Merger Duo to an Android or iOS mobile device using Pulsar's Stream Vision 2 mobile app, this opens up a whole new range of possibilities, such as video streaming to the web, wireless firmware updates, content sharing to social media, remote control and free access to read Pulsar's own news feed. The faster 5 GHz frequency band enables even smoother and more stable data transfer and reduces the wireless connection's susceptibility to interference, which improves the productivity of your thermal camera and makes its use as a smart device partner even more pleasant.

The body, power supply, optics and electronics of the Pulsar Merger Duo are designed to work even at extreme temperatures. Merger Duo DXP50 works reliably and efficiently even at a temperature of -25°C. Merger Duo has a built-in video and image recorder. Merger Duo's internal memory can hold hours of exciting videos and thousands of the best of your thermal images. You only need to press a button to capture an interesting moment or start video recording. The footage can also be transferred to a computer via a USB C cable. Owners of the Merger Duo DXP50 thermal binoculars also get 16 GB of free cloud storage by registering for Pulsar's own cloud service (Pulsar Cloud). You just need to install the free Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in to the service and connect the device to your smartphone via Wi-Fi.

Pulsar Merger Duo DXP50's high-definition HD AMOLED screen provides a sharp, high-contrast and colorful viewing experience, and AMOLED technology guarantees flawless, smooth high-definition images and power saving.

The selection of eight different color palettes improves visibility in different conditions, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for each situation and viewing condition. Hot white, hot black and hot red make it easier to detect the object's movement, rainbow and ultramarine in turn emphasize the temperature differences of the objects and make identification easier. Red monochrome, sepia and violet reduce eye fatigue and are best suited for long-term night observation.
