I bought the boots because they were so cheap compared to other similar boots and the boots didn't seem any better or worse than the others when I tried them on. Based on a week of skiing: The "strap" at the ankle tore on one boot, apparently due to the glue drying out. The strap came undone on its own while skiing. Although the strap breaking doesn't affect use significantly and the damage is mostly cosmetic, the defect that appeared doesn't speak well of the quality of the boot after such a short period of use. It's not a good idea to go on a long hike with boots that start to fall apart during the first few days. The zipper is difficult to tighten, especially if you have several socks underneath. It pinches at the ankle, my friends' boots didn't have the same problem. My feet are size 44 and I took size 47 boots, still the same problem. I'm trying to return the boots or at least exchange the defective boot for another one.
