These Tactical Sport Headsets by Peltor provide distortion-free amplification of low level sounds. The Peltor Tactical Sport Hearing Protector also protects against harmful noise levels with its Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 20 decibels (dB). These Peltor Hearing Protectors have a folding headband design for easy portability, and interchangeable outer cup shells. The Peltor Tactical Sport Headband comes standard with black ear cups and an extra set of orange cups. The Peltor Tactical Sport Headset operates on 2 AAA Batteries with a battery life of 500 hours.

Due to previous good experiences, I bought other Peltor active protectors. The battery life is top notch. In this model, there is no sound to indicate when the current is on and when the power is off, which you would like.

Really good hearing ear protectors for hunting! You can usually hear the direction of the sound of the bouncing animal well enough and it's nice to have these on all day. Perfect also on the track and in wheelbarrow jobs!

It works fine. Feels cheap in comparison to the Sordins, though. It creaks and is hard to un/collapse. And it has a J22 connector and doesn't come with an adapter, so you'll anyway spend more money on buying that. Might as well pay the small premium for the Sordins at that point.

No complaints, as long as you manage to open the battery door first. The protectors react well and e.g. firing a rifle still sounds like firing a rifle, but doesn't rupture eardrums. Since these are my first active hearing protectors, I'm not giving five stars because there's no reference point. However, I recommend Sporttacks.
