The Schnozzel Pumpbag ensures quick, hygienic, moisture-free inflation of Exped mats, preventing mold development and maximizing insulation (because wet insulation is less effective).
It also serves as a waterproof compression drybag to keep your sleeping bag and clothing dry.
If you have a competitors 'stick-out' valve, a flat valve or any older Exped valve, use the Universal Valve Adapter or FlatValve Adapter. Some competitors flat valves connect directly to the Schnozzel Pump Bag, because their inflation port diameter is also approximately 20.5 mm.

A much more convenient inflation pump than the version that originally came with the air mattress (the tubular one). The large opening allows for easy filling of the bag and due to the large size, only about four pumps are needed and the mattress is ready. That little "snout" makes it easier to attach the valve. Also handy for transporting sleeping gear directly in a backpack, i.e. sleeping bags, mattresses, etc. I stuff them into that bag as is to make a tight package.

I can't say about durability at this point, but it does its job much better than Thermarest's own pump bag. Thermarest's NeoAir Xtherm fills with this perhaps 3-4 times faster than with the original bag. This even fit the older model Thermarest valve without the ridiculously priced universal adapter sold by Expedi, which was quite a positive surprise.
