Excellent as an EDC. I prefer this styling over the DAP. I used to have a 2-day assault that I had sold because it was way too big.

As usual with Mystery Ranch, the quality is not something you need to think about - it is top quality as always. What I like about this backpack is that it is not so upset - you have two pockets on the inside, you have the lid and then nothing more. It works as both a bag to / from work, but even if you are going out into the woods for a few days. Sure, the molle design may not be completely "civil" but it is still quite discreet.
The bag itself does not weigh much so it is quite easy to use to / from work.
Really good quality, which of course is expected at this pricepoint. Lots of options for extra gear.

Very good bag. Of course it's just good for everyday life. Actually it is darker than the product photo and the color of the zipper is better than the photo.
You can't really go wrong with ASAP. I went with the black one as I think it's better in an urban setting. The 1st grip I have is the price. It's quite high. I guess you get what you paid for. Consider this a rare item to come by. You should consider this if it happens to be in-stock. The 2nd grip is the tiny waist strap. It works but they really should have gone for a thicker one. Although, I only use it when I carry really heavy stuffs which I don't most of the time. The material is heavy duty. I am not a military personal. I only use this for my daily commute on train and on foot. I don't hike or do any outdoor activity. For my purpose, the material is overkill. If weight is a concern, you might need to go with their lighter pack that's not a military line. The pack itself is leaning to the heavier side for its size. Here is the thing, its strap system is awesome. It takes A LOT of adjustment by myself to get it right. Once you get it right, it feels really comfortable even with heavy grocery, books, or laptop. I'd advise you to get a professional to help you adjust the ASAP. The backside padding HATES velcro. Accidentally attach anything velcro on it means a surface tear of the padding. The padding stills work but it is now less beautiful. The zipper takes some force to open/close. It's a double edge sword but I prefer It this way. If you have some item on the top pocket, it can be hard to close the side of the 3 zips because the top part would literally falls inward. The zipper also might catch on the fabric requiring you to zip back and forth again. Looking on the brighter side, it'd be harder for a thief to open your backpack. You will definitely know that it's being opened or closed because it's just that extra tight. A place like London where it's infected with thief? I'd say it fits here perfectly. The Molle on the side is quite limited. I would really appreciate more panel on the bottom half so I could attach some water bottle pouch. It gets annoying that you have to open your pack for a water bottle. There is also a Molle panel on the inside right in the middle. It serves no use for me as I often carry a laptop in a sleeve with me. Yes, you need to get a padded sleeve if you intend to carry a laptop inside the pack. Is this ASAP overkill for my requirement? Yes. Do I need it? No, I could get also get by with other lighter packs. But, do I love it? Yes. If you have a cat or any furry pet, get a roller lint because you'll wake up your pack covered in their fur.
