Product description

The Rogen is an excellent choice for any trip during the snow-free months of the year where very light weight is of the highest importance. It is well-suited to nearly any adventure, and especially for those who prefer dome construction. In addition, its self-supporting design – only the vestibules have to be pegged out – make a good choice for tougher pitching conditions.

Two equal length crossing poles create the basic shape, while a shorter pole in the roof provides head room in the vestibules and adds to the overall stability of the tent. For 2017, we have replaced the Lock-Tip and dual opening pole sleeve system with standard poles and single opening pole sleeves. We have also built catenary patterning into the bottom of the outer tent walls. This retains the constant venting that comes from having the outer tent stop short of the ground, and makes for both easier pitching, especially in windy conditions. Both inner tent doors are nearly all mesh, encouraging full time air flow, and both vestibules can be rolled partly or fully away for added cross venting.

The Rogen’s spaciousness and self-supporting construction, along with its remarkably low weight and the comfort of its two vestibules, will appeal to paddlers, summer mountain scramblers, backpackers, bicycle tourers, and hunters, among others. These same traits also make the Rogen a compelling choice for solo travelers who value roominess and maximum comfort.

  • Kerlon 1000 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles make for a supremely lightweight tent that is still quite strong.
  • 3 season design: ventilation is built into the construction, and the inner tent mesh areas have no backing fabric panels.
  • Dome construction with two main crossing poles is an excellent choice for tough pitching conditions
  • A good amount of room for two occupants and their gear.
  • Linked but seperable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching.
  • Self-supporting dome design requires only the vestibule to be pegged, and the simple full sleeve and tensioner pole system make for quick, easy set up.
  • Dual entrances and vestibules ensure that one door can always be situated out of the wind and provide flexible entry/exit and storage options.
  • An optional footprint covers only the inner tent area and not the vestibule. It connects directly to the tent, and can be left attached during pitching.
  • The inner tent can be replaced with a Mesh Inner tent.
  • Water colum; Outer tent: 5 000 mm, Floor: 15 000 mm

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 200 x 250 x 500 mm.

A light and functional tent for camping in three seasons. Tying the door to the side could work better, because now it's hard to get it to stay in place. There is a tying guide for this on Hilleberg's website, but I think this detail could be done better.

Lightweight and easy to set up tent. The strings are so thin that they are a bit difficult to handle, but they do what they hold.

We bought this tent for mainly bike touring and we will also use it for car camping. I already have a Hilleberg Nallo 2 (10+ years) and Enan (2 years). The design and build quality is great. We bought the Rogen as it has side entry and two spacious vestibules - which will suit our gear and use in warmer months. The arrangement allows you get get a nice breeze through the tent - if you want. The tent has plenty of room and the extra cross-bar provides a nice overhang for the the vestibules. The tent bag has plenty of room so the tent can dry a bit when its packed.

This is my first yellow label Hilleberg tent. I'm impressed by the quality of the stitching, attention to detail and light weight. The bag is comfortably oversized to accommodate a wet tent, customization like cables and a footprint. The polls are plenty strong for a lightweight tent. I like the convenience of popping up a small self-standing tent to dry out indoors at home. The fully-enclosed pole flaps are built like a four season tent (to keep poles from freezing together). But, this is definitely a three season tent. There's a lot of circulation, with two large mesh doors and large vents on the bottom of the outer tent. My first night was in -10C dry autumn weather, and that was too drafty. The Rogen is not intended for that use. My Hilleberg Nammattj is a better choice for that temperature. But, I will appreciate the Rogen during summer on the trail.

Guaranteed Hilleberg quality. Super easy and quick to set up a tent when dry even when it rains like Esther pxxxxxx.

An excellent reasonably light tent for two made of excellent materials. Best to buy the two additional guylines for the doors and would benefit from clips to hold the doors more effectively out of the way. Tent copes very well in strong winds and rain and the two doors enable good views to be achieved and storage options. Copes well with condensation but needs some wind to achieve this.
