Excellent boots

Really good feeling compared to e.g. the previous vikings which lasted less than 50km. Sufficiently sturdy but not too stiff for everyday shoes. Excellent all-around shoes for those who move a lot in the forest. It seems to hold water quite well, even if you wade a little.

Have stayed together after two weeks of use. They still look pretty new. They feel really good on the feet.

Unfortunately the sizing of the boots were off and I need to return for an exchange. I will write back to explain how that goes.

A slightly wider last than a basic shoe. Excellent fit. Light and comfortable to walk on, warm and breathes well, the water resistance was also found to be functional. Slightly slippery sole on some wet surfaces.

I have only worn the hiking boots once but we’re quite comfortable and offered great ankle support.

These shoes are a model that I have been wearing for about 13 years on a daily basis, whether in town or in the mountains, for their comfort of use. They last on average 2 years each time with my usual walking pace (between 4 and 10km per day in brisk walking). The last pair suffered faster breakdown with peeling off at the lateral edges of the ball of the foot, near the toes. No loss of waterproofness for the moment (no wet feet in the rain. Nevertheless, I put them to the test this summer with a month of more pronounced use (about 30km per day in the mountains with downhill running phases therefore greater bending stresses.) We will see what this new pair does.
