I once bought that padding for my backpack and I found it much more comfortable in terms of use and it didn't feel heavy on my shoulders or felt heavy, even if there was more stuff. With that, I decided to also buy a mini backpack for my child to cushion it and make it easier to use! Only, I would maybe add more color options, but it doesn't affect the use in any way. We bought a navy blue mini-backpack and all the accessories in black, so it turned out to be a nice combination!
