Decent packing case, well-equipped package (charger, earphone, stick antenna, ground plane cable and protective plate for the multipin connection port). The stick antenna does not always work well in covered and rolling terrain, so you should use a ground level cable and also buy a forest antenna designed for radio. One complaint: the accompanying earphone is connected to the multipin port and if you want to use the optional microphone/keyboard (connected to the same port) you also have to buy a new earphone (either a standard model or an official model). Easy to use, very good battery life.

The device seems decent. It hasn't been put to real use in challenging conditions yet, but I think a longer forest antenna and "ground cable" will help then. The size is ok, at least compared to the 23-year-old previous bricks. The battery life is also completely different.

Works in the forest with a long antenna and ground wire. Battery life is great. I have used Meri-vhf phones before and they do have a much better signal when you can send with 25 watts. Metsä vhf radios transmit with only 1 watt. In elk hunting, however, it works well when someone forwards the message if there is a big hill in between blocking connections.
