Staika is a versatile dome tent. I have not yet used the tent in winter or in really strong winds but the tent seems extremely stable. Properly anchored, it can certainly withstand anything. It may take a little longer than a traditional tunnel tent to set up, but since it is independent, you can then easily move it wherever you want. It's good that the outer and inner tent are attached to each other from the start, so the inner tent is kept dry when pitched in the rain. Surprisingly effective air and heat regulation with the inner tent doors. Not exactly easy to carry with 4kg total weight but I've used it on motorbike and canoe trips where it goes well. In winter, it comes in handy in a sled. Maybe a little cramped for two people in the winter. In summer, it fits two well. I myself have lived alone in it and lived like a prince! The apses big enough for the stuff but maybe a little small for cooking. The inner tent doors fall open into the tent, but are easy to roll up. I changed the side braces to single ropes instead of fixed loops. Easier to pull the lines where you want. I chose the tent for its strength and safety in harsh weather. Ended up in cheap, weak tents in the past and chose to pay for security. Staika is easy to store in its spacious bag. Hilleberg should emphasize in its user manual that when pitching the tent you should start with the blue-marked channels so that the roof hooks will be correct. A straight and simple safe and good tent that suits me.

Hilleberg is Hilleberg. Durable (though at this stage there is no decades of experience with this product) and functional details. The product corresponded very well to my preconceived notion of Hilleberg. The only minus is the price, which is unfortunately high. The workprint looks neat and the product well done, although I imagine the older ones sewn in Sweden were even a notch better.
I think the manufacturer's website is one of the best product manufacturer's pages and it is really easy to compare different versions. Based on the pages, one can make all the comparisons and product choices as well as only virtually in general can do. Other manufacturers have only a fraction of the corresponding information on display on their pages, so I got an answer to every question that preoccupied my mind in advance from Hilleberg’s website.
Of course, I already know the manufacturer's products, but the main reasons for the choice were good starting information on the website and the good support of the Varuste.net store in choosing the product. The service in the store was first class this time. Many competitors were left out because the starting data were incomplete and their comparison was not successful enough in advance online.
I think this tent will be a joy for me for decades. Top product and durability in a class of its own - usability, details and small delicacies not found in other products. The product gives a high quality image. Admittedly, probably one of the most expensive possible products ...
