Spartan Kapita Tripod

The Kapita is the ultimate modular support system. It is a truly multi purpose system for hunters, hikers, birdspotters and photographers all weighing only 682g.

Tripod, Bipod, Monopod & Trekking pole all in one

The system can be used with 1, 2 or 3 legs as they are all removable and interchangeable. The head of the Kapita has a ball with a magnetic spigot which attaches to any of our adapters in an instant.

The Kapita gives you the stability of a tripod but the flexibility to track your target side to side and up or down hill on any surface.

Use standing or sitting

The whole system weighs just 650 grams (22 oz) and is only 76cm long when packed away so will go in a backpack or can be carried on a plane.

For woodland stalking the system can be used as a huge bipod for rapid deployment. Unlike regular sticks you can load the Kapita for extra stability.

The legs are removeable and can be used as trekking poles. These are the strongest trekking poles you will ever find. They won't snap, bend or fail to support you.

The trekking pole legs have a magnet in the top so they have many uses. Use them as a handy cartridge retriever or as a quick monopod with any of our adapters for your rifle, binoculars or camera.

Materials
• Stainless steel 316 (1.4401)
• Aluminium 7075-T7351
• Carbon-fibre
• N52 Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets

The materials ensure a very light and corrosion resistant product.
Stainless steel S316 is marine-grade austenitic stainless steel which means it has a very high resistance to corrosion.
Aluminium grade AL7075-T7351 is aerospace quality aluminium, and one of the highest strength aluminium alloys available, with a 45% higher yield strength that austenitic stainless steels.
Carbon-fibre is exceptionally light, almost as light as any plastic, but immensely strong and stiff. The weight of carbon-fibre is about 60% that of aluminium.
N52 is presently the most powerful grade of Neodymium. 


Surface Treatments
The corrosion resistance of the product is extremely important to guarantee the long-life of the tripod.
The aluminium is protected by hard black anodising. This is a very robust and durable surface treatment. This coating is harder than tool steel, with hardness of 65 Rockwell C where hardness is required for dimensional stability combined with longevity.
