A good general ski for soft snow

In January, in Sodankylä's submersible hange, a 270 cm ski managed to just pass through the hange and rise to the surface of the hange. The skier weighed more than 90 kg. With a slightly better stock, it worked great. There could be more width at the tip and heel.

With skis, it is a pleasure to ski on the ice of lakes and marshes, as well as in other open places. Long skis are more challenging to turn in forested areas.

They seem to work well in wet conditions, because they get on top of your feet and you can even cross ditches thanks to the elasticity. In the sled race, it was noticed that there is far too much grip and the slide is therefore really unfortunate. So, filing work is known. After all, it hasn't been such a big problem in closed conditions and the ascents have been effortless. Easier, of course, this way, that you can afford to file the scale off to improve the glide.

Skied a couple of times now, and there are no complaints. I ordered the skis with pre-attached Finngrip Easy bindings, they have been good.

During Easter, I went skiing for a couple of days in the spring forest of Kainuu. Skis mostly work well. The only problem was where the spring sun had melted a slush about an inch thick on the surface of the frozen snow. In this case, the track went along and skiing turned into a heavy walk. Next winter, we'll take a closer look at how it works with soft snow.
